A couple of weeks ago i came across a new PPC Advertising Company, Adsung. After reading a couple of reviews of the site i decided to create an advertisers account. Advertising on new Pay Per Click Ad networks can prove extremely rewarding if your wish to test conversion rates or kick start a campaign.
One of the main benefits of using a new Ad Network is;
- More Publishers than ‘paying’ advertisers
Often these new companies are quick to signup publishers as everyones out to make money but not alot are out to spend it. Here you are able to bid on low CPC values and i started off lastweek at an extremely good rate of 0.01 cents per click. Unfortunately this was short lived and to my surprise i logged in to find position 1-3 filled up at 0.35 and i was stuck in position 6 in the adblocks at, 0.01.
So to get back into position 1, a bid of 0.36 was required. I was testing this network so i decided what the heck let’s give it a go, my whole account was cleaned out in one day - hmm, Thats suspicious considering the amount was not that high. Adsung lacks a good adcenter stats section although it tells you how many clicks and the CTR - basic information you would expect.
After taking a look at my stats using google webanalytics i found this website hooked up to convert users;

Now, the advert displayed here is not my own - my account has already been emptied by this page. Note, this is not part of a website it is simply a page with this on. I am tempted to post the URL but that will only lead to more advertisers missing out and will only leave the publisher with more money. After looking through Adsungs shortlist of Terms. It states;

In response to this i emailed Adsung’s support on Friday but have yet to hear anything back. I’m hoping the next working day this issue will be resolved or atleast noted and can be used to riddle out this problem . It just goes to show that you need to take care of your campaigns while your out to take advantage of new Ad networks there is a small percentage of publishers out to exploit the system.
Am i right to complain? Would you?
I’d also like to say that the Adsung business model is proving useless to publishers. it looks like every Advertiser is bidding on a ten block ad box (much like google adsense 160×600) skycraper. This is going to push the price of the top spot continously up crippling most advertisers. Currently it’s set to 0.35cpc which to me is way to high for the campaign i was running.
Is there anyone else using Adsung to make money online?
